Waimea Plantation Cottages
On the sunny West coast of Kauai, private seaside cottages set amidst a 27 acre coconut grove. Classic plantation architecture, restored and updated. Located at the gateway to Waimea Canyon, these cottages are reminiscent of the historic sugar plantation era of Hawaii. The cottages have ceiling fans, color cable TV, and telephone. Waimea Brewing Company restaurant/microbrewery is located next door. Waimea is a quiet, somewhat remote, retreat located about 20 minutes from the resort area of Poipu. Due to strong currents, the ocean is not suitable for swimming. A swimming beach is about a 10 minute drive.
